Kudan Demo Application

Our demo application that showcases some of our previous client work along with our Augmented Reality Product offering is available for free download on Apple’s App Store (Android version coming very soon). As with all of our technology the functionality available in the app can be customised by our in-house team and integrated into existing apps as well as launched as standalone applications on Android, iOS or Windows Mobile.

For the demo application to work you need to download our marker book of Augmented Reality triggers. You can either print this out or use the triggers by pointing your phone/tablet at the screen.

App Content

3D Objects
This part of the application demonstrates our 3D Object overlay capability on standard print materials (as opposed to specific AR marker – say QR code to a Creative Director and watch them judder!). We have our own 3D modelling capability to reproduce objects as mobile compatible 3D models.

SpinMe
As well as 3D modelling, we also have the capability to capture and reproduce objects using ’360 Photoset’ technology. By placing an object on a turntable (or rotating a camera around a larger object) we can capture an object from multiple angles and reproduce this in Augmented Reality. This demo shows several models reproduced using the 360 turntable photoset technique.

Touch Interaction
This demonstrates our Augmented Reality ‘Interactive Paper’ product. The technology recognises an image and overlays touchable hotspots that display further information on the area selected or link the user to further related content.

Video on Texture
Our video on texture technology is industry-leading in it’s ability to play compressed video on any surface. In this example, we recognise a standard product photograph of a car and overlay a promotional video on top of the image, maintaining the correct aspect ratio and making the image come alive.

2D Lens
This demonstrates our Augmented Reality ‘X-Ray Lens’ product. We recognise images of the ‘outer skin’ and show images, videos and 3D models of the ‘innards’. A great way to showcase your innovative technology or enhance customer engagement.

360 Panorama
This demonstrates our 360 Panorama product in app form. This product also works in a web browser on a mobile device (phone or tablet), this has the added benefit of working ‘out of the box’ without the user first having to install an app. You can view the web browser 360 panorama version on our demo website.
