Kudan has started offering a development partnership program on integration of visual-SLAM and LiDAR for visual-LiDAR-SLAM

Kudan, a technology lab for Artificial Perception, has announced a new development partnership program integrating visual-SLAM and LiDAR for visual-LiDAR-SLAM. By combining visual-SLAM algorithms, used to calculate position in the world and perform relocalisation, with LiDAR, a sensing technology capable of providing accurate long-distance 3D reconstructions, Kudan’s visual-LiDAR-SLAM software enables perfect real-time 3D mapping and recognition for autonomous control in robotics.

Kudan has been developing the prototype of the package with selected clients to bring the technology to practical levels. After completing the prototyping successfully with these partners, Kudan has decided to expand the offering to wider markets. The released program allows customers to deploy and optimise the technologies on customer HW/SW platforms and use cases, including autonomous driving and digital 3D maps.
